Open the Book (OtB) is a captivating storytelling initiative where Bible stories are shared with children in a way that is fun, interactive and memorable. It aims to engage children in schools and communities with the stories of the Bible. The program aims to promote biblical literacy, moral values, and a better understanding of Christianity among young audiences.
Our group of dedicated volunteers from local churches in Old Windsor and beyond has been actively involved in this ministry for the past 11 years. We have the privilege of visiting King's Court First School almost every Thursday to perform 10–15-minute engaging and interactive dramatized presentations of Bible stories, with the assistance of some students.
During our presentations, we utilize costumes, props, and simple scripts to bring the stories to life, capturing the children's attention and encouraging their active involvement. We firmly believe that a Bible story well told has the power to spark the imagination, inspire exploration, instill hope, create a smile, teach important lessons and connect generations.
