The Walk
Our walk begins at the parish church (St. Peter and St. Andrew, Old Windsor) where Tony will provide insights into the history of the present building and share information about its predecessors. This will be followed by a tour of the churchyard, to talk about some of the significant tombs and their occupants. While in the churchyard, Tony will also share knowledge about local buildings, before leaving to walk down Church Road and into the village, through Meadow Way to Straight Road, then to Beaumont and returning along Burfield Road. Notable Properties along our route include The Priory, Grove House, The Friary, The Bells of Ousely, Ousely Lodge, Burfield Lodge, Newton Court, The Fox and Castle, Lynwood, the Tapestries and The Glass Works.
We look forward to embarking on this historical walk with all of you this Sunday.
